Meghan Markle's sadness over father's wedding absence

Meghan Markle's sadness over father's wedding absence

Britain's opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, a long-time critic of the royal family, will be busy attending engagements and conferences during Saturday's wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, his spokesman said on Wednesday.

He reportedly told TMZ he didn't want to cause further embarrassment to his daughter and the royal family, but then appeared to reverse course and told TMZ a day later he would attend the wedding. The report adds that the surgeons will clear the blockage in Markle's heart, fix damage and put in a stent.

The 73-year-old is also still scheduled to walk his daughter down the aisle during the wedding Saturday in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The Internet is focused on three things this week: Yanny, Laurel, and Thomas Markle.

Samantha went on to say that she hasn't been in touch with Meghan for the past year.

"I'm ok. It will take a long time to heal", he said to the celebrity news website.

"I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle", he said on Tuesday, according to TMZ.

Ms Ragland will stay with Meghan at luxury property Cliveden House on the night before the wedding and travel with her by auto to the chapel.

It's a relief knowing that Markle will be surrounded by people who are close to her after dealing with family drama from her dad and back-stabbing siblings.

Some devoted fans of Harry and Markle are already gathering at prime viewing points just outside the imposing walls of Windsor Castle, even though the wedding is three days away.

The pictures - in which he was being measured for a suit and admiring a photo of the future royal couple on his computer - sold for $100,000 (83,000 euros), according to British tabloid the Daily Mirror.

Despite reports that he may have received upwards of $100,000 for the shoot, Thomas has claimed that he didn't do it for the money (his older daughter Samantha, Meghan's half-sister, said he only received $1,500 from the paparazzi agency, plus royalties). "The bad press over my father doing staged photos is my fault", she reportedly tweeted from her Twitter private account (via the Daily Mail).

Staging the photos was meant to counter the way he had been "so unfairly presented in the media as being sort of shabby".

Harry and Meghan are expected to be named the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, so "Sussex" will likely be their children's last name.
