John Legend to Lend His Voice to Google Assistant

John Legend to Lend His Voice to Google Assistant

After a bit of a dry opening, Google has picked up the pace at its I/O 2018 keynote with the reveal of new voices, new features and new functionality for Google Assistant. FreeTime blocks access to Alexa features like shopping, news, or third-party services, and also encourages kids to say please and thank you via a feature called Magic Word. Google has started rolling out new voices, and if you are bored of listening to the same Assistant voice on your smartphone, you can change it right now. The other six voices aren't famous, but will be both male and female and are meant to sound more human.

While we were all wiping the crust from the corners of our lips over Google Duplex and pondering the future of human complacency under the watchful AI of Google Assistant, Google announced a smart home upgrade to Google Assistant that will add native support for a slew of smart home devices.

This isn't just the Assistant leaving a message - in two pre-recorded stage demos, it actually carried on frighteningly lifelike conversations with the people on the other end of the line, dynamically responding to unexpected questions on the fly to settle appointments in a natural and conversational tone. Chief among them was a new celebrity voice, but soon Google's digital companion won't only sound more natural, but be more helpful, too.

The Google Assistant had a lot to say this year at Google's annual IO developer event. Whether it was the beginning of the conversation or while repeating or while giving multiple commands, saying each time "Hey Google" was a tiresome task, indeed! Google is progressively adding more device types, and just announced that air conditioning units, air purifiers, coffee makers, fans, kettles, ovens, and sprinklers are now supported by the Google Assistant.

Experience Google Home fantastic features which may you have wanted ever. The Assistant will be able to clearly relay the context of the call, understand any long or complex responses and then mark down the details in your calendar.

Multiple ActionsA key part of having a natural conversation is being able to ask about many things at once. Two of them were already available, and now you have six more.

Basically, Google Assistant and Google Home are getting smarter, friendlier, learning good manners, and making life easier. Additionally, Google also makes it simpler when it announced that you can also order your food using the Google Assistant. The new features will launch later this summer. We'll update as these features are released or roll out.
