Reports from Saudi media two weeks ago had it that the Houthis had captured 19 oil tankers and are keeping them from entering the Hodeidah port.

The Yemeni Ministry of Health also slammed the deadly airstrikes which were carried out on the presidential palace in Sana'a. Residents living close to the presidential office said they heard two powerful explosions hit the building, located near a hotel, shops, and not far from the central bank.

There was no immediate information on casualties, but witnesses said the office, used by the Houthi rebel administration, is normally bustling with employees.

Ahmed Dehashir, who works near the Presidential office, told AFP, "We were working next door to the presidential offices and heard a plane, and then an explosion".

Launched from within the territory of Yemen, north of Amran governorate, the missiles were intercepted at 8.47pm, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Air Defense Forces of the Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen intercepted and destroyed two missiles fired toward Najran by Iranian-backed Houthis on Sunday, Coalition spokesman Col.

The ministry further called on the worldwide community to slam Saudi Arabia's deadly attacks and put pressure on kingdom to halt its war crimes against its impoverished neighbor.

The coalition has been fighting against the Houthi rebels in Yemen since 2015.

Almost 10,000 people have been killed in the Yemen conflict, which what the United States has called the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
