Salah reaches 40 goals as Liverpool breeze past Bournemouth

The goal for Salah continued his incredible debut season at Liverpool in which he has now scored a stunning 30 Premier League goals and 40 in all competitions.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have proved to be too hot to handle for almost every opponent this season and so it proved again as the Cherries were blown away by Klopp's rampant side.

Salah is now the first African player to reach 30 Premier League goals in a single season (Didier Drogba was the previous highest African scorer with 29 in 2009-10).

"It's completely normal that a boy in that situation wants to be top of the scoring list, the golden boot".

The only man Jurgen Klopp brought in from the team that beat Manchester City on Tuesday and Henderson, who had been suspended in midweek, was brilliant in both recovering possession and distributing the ball.

"It's good and impressive - what a number, wow!" He doesn't look that old.

- Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 19 Premier League home games (W12 D7), the longest current run in the division, and the Reds' longest run since August 2009 (31 games). We scored one but had chance after chance with really good football against a side full of confidence, good footballers, quick on the counter attack, which makes your life really uncomfortable. The boys did fantastic.

Rush was the last player to score 40 times in a season and the Welshman was at Anfield to see Salah join the club with a clever looped header from Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross.

The Egyptian moved to Anfield in a £35 million move from AS Roma in the summer where he scored 34 goals in 84 appearances for the Italian side over the course of two seasons.

"It was good that we kept a clean sheet, with the little bit of luck you always need".

Now eleventh in the table with a few games to go, Bournemouth's 38 points should be enough to let them put their feet up in the knowledge they've secured another season in the top flight.

"He played one game, the next game rested, then played another game and then the next game rested and stuff like that".
