Overwatch's next event has a new PvE story featuring the Blackwatch

Passholders will also recieve exclusive skins for McCree, Soldier: 76 and Moira in addition to a superfan player icon and spray.

As well as showing the trailer, Jeff Kaplan also revealed some additional details of the event. From what we can gather, whatever mission the Blackwatch team went on didn't go exactly as planned.

Perhaps the biggest bonus for fans of the Overwatch League players will be the chance to submit questions to Match Day AMAs. Talon operatives quickly cut off their escape route, and it's up to you and your friends to get the heck out of there while fighting against some of Talon's toughest fighters. Of course, Venice is an incoming map and the Talon enemies (Sniper, Assassin and Heavy Assault) are brand new. Like last year's Uprising Event which detailed backstory about some of the Overwatch characters, this year's event sounds like it will be somewhat the same but with different focal points in the Overwatch lore.

Both Retribution and the old Uprising mode will be available to play when the event goes live. This is contrary to the rumors that the new mission would be on the existing map of Dorado. In Stage 3, this will be in the form of a weekly series called Behind the Screens, in which an Overwatch League player will give their own analysis of a recent game.

In a similar vein to Uprising, you will be able to play as all heroes, and play the map is a Payload match in PVP.

The Overwatch Retribution Event will take place from April 10th - 30th. A new comic offering background, "Retribution", is available to read for free.
