Magic's Arron Afflalo put in a headlock during scuffle

The Magic, perhaps sparked by the near fight, ended a seven-game losing streak to beat the Timberwolves, who had been playing some of their best basketball of the season.

Afflalo will miss tonight's game at Cleveland and Sunday's game at Boston.

After the game, Bjelica said that his response to Afflalo's punch was meant to calm his opponent down. After struggling to get out of the hold for a few seconds, Afflalo finally escaped Bjelica's grasp when some players and referees came in to break it up. "Let him punch me one more time?"

As a result, both players were ejected. Bjelica ran up to Afflalo near the free throw line and hit hit with both hands as he neared the rim, possibly to attempt a rebound. They can expect severe discipline from the league for the fight, which will likely include suspensions.

Afflalo did not give any statement about the incident immediately after the game.

"I don't want to feel like a victim here, that's part of the game", Bjelica told the press after.

"I don't know what's wrong with that guy, but at that point I have to protect myself and my family".
