Now, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah says BJP, RSS are 'Hindus without humanity'

The Karnataka polls are expected to be held in March- April.

During his discussions in Delhi with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC president G Parameshwara and other senior party leaders, Rahul is said to have focused on strategies to counter BJP, which is making Hindutva a strong poll issue.

Several BJP workers on Saturday staged a protest in front of the district Congress committee office at Mallikatta here condemning Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's "Hindu terror" jibe at the BJP and RSS. He is very happy that our our government has no anti-incumbency.

Mr. Vijayshankar disclosed this to reporters after a meeting with Mr. Siddaramaiah at his residence here on Friday.

He said that his party will approach the court of law against Mr. Siddaramaiah and that he has to apologise in the court for his derogatory remarks against RSS and BJP.

Siddaramaiah claimed that the Congress had not only honoured all the promises it had made in its manifesto for the previous state polls, but "even some of the programmes not in the manifesto were implemented".

Venugopal said the leaders gave an assurance that they would all work united for the success of the party in the Assembly elections.

Unity must be the mantra, defend Siddaramaiah whenever BJP targets him on any issue. "They are raising irrelevant issues". I said I am also a Hindu but a humane Hindu.

At the same time, Rahul is learnt to have left strict instructions to party leaders to own defensive posture about Hindutva that is the major issue BJP is banking on, desist from issuing controversial statements about Hindutva and not to project themselves as anti-Hindu.

Calling Siddaramaiah "irresponsible" for linking the party built by Atal Bihari Vajpayee with terrorists, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje on Thursday alleged that "if there is terrorism in this country today, Congress is the main reason for it, also for the situation in Kashmir". "He told the leaders that the party should treat all communities equally, recalling that remarks like neech had an adverse impact on the Congress in Gujarat", sources said.
