Woman returns dead Christmas tree for refund in January

This article in Fortune declares, "Woman Returns Dead Christmas Tree to Costco on January 4".

A California woman received a full refund from her local Costco after she returned her Christmas tree because it was dead.

Bentley's post went on to take a more critical tone, rebuking the woman for her "little moral values or lack of conscience" that allowed her to return a Christmas tree almost 10 days after December 25.

"I can't make this stuff up", Scott Bentley wrote in a Facebook post that appears to have since been deleted or made private.

Amazingly, she actually did get her money back, according to the post. If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe that someone had so little moral values or lack of conscience.

The woman was slammed on social media by users branding her "cheap" and "brazen".

Costco is well-known for having a pretty generous return policy that shoppers tend to take advantage of, and the woman, after some convincing, was able to get her refund.

At least the customer had to return the item to the store and didn't incur shipping costs for the retailer.

'But I don't think it fazed her because she had no conscience, ' the man wrote on Facebook.

The woman has not been identified.
