Naby Keita will not join Liverpool in January, say RB Leipzig

Firmino has proved instrumental as Liverpool's number nine and this season the 26-year-old has already netted 16 goals, and although negotiations for his new deal have not yet formally started they are expected to begin imminently.

Coutinho's £142 million transfer to Barcelona has left the Reds short in midfield and Jurgen Klopp's side are looking at paying extra for the Guinean in order to bring forward his switch to Anfield.

The goalkeeper position is still one I'm sure Liverpool fans will agree can be improved, as well as defensive frailties that Van Dijk should reduce but not eradicate.

In a post on Instagram, Firmino admitted that he would sorely miss his fellow compatriot at Anfield.

According to the Sky Italia journalist, the Egyptian has been identified by the European champions as a potential "Galactico" signing - concerning news for Liverpool supporters.

Coutinho was unveiled as a Barcelona player on Monday after Liverpool reluctantly agreed to the transfer. Coutinho was best man at Firmino's wedding last summer.

Liverpool has been linked with a move for Monaco's Thomas Lemar and Leicester's Riyad Mahrez as a replacement for Coutinho, but maybe there is no real necessity, especially with dynamic Guinea midfielder Naby Keita joining from Leipzig in the summer.

Philippe Coutinho has finally arrived in Barcelona and is ready to be unveiled at a filled Camp Nou but it will be a long-wait before he can spring into action for FC Barcelona.

"The fact is he has gone now and we have to think 'What have we got that is going to get the job done?'"

Olympic gold medalist Sam Quek commented "This is the best thing I have ever heard", while the song was even retweeted by former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher.

"I was at a big club previously and being at big one now, you know you are always going to have to perform under pressure".

Coutinho scored 54 goals in 201 appearances for Liverpool.

"There have been signs that City, particularly the centre backs - not so much John Stones but (Nicolas) Otamendi or (Eliaquim) Mangala - you can press certain players and nick the ball off them".
