NBA All-Star game to be hosted by Indiana

It turns out the league apparently likes the idea of holding its mid-winder showcase in the midwest, as the National Basketball Association announced that it will make its way to Indianapolis for its All-Star Weekend in 2021.

"The Pacers haven't confirmed the news officially, but the team has plans for a "major announcement" Wednesday at 4 Bankers Life Fieldhouse".

The NBA commissioner Adam Silver is reportedly in IN for a 4 p.m. local time press conference where this will be officially announced. This will mark the second time the city of Indianapolis has hosted the NBA's premier exhibition game featuring the league's best players. Indiana Pacers owner Herb Simon, Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett, and Governer Eric Holcomb are expected to be in attendance.

In 1953, IN also hosted the third NBA All-Star Game when the West defeated the East 79-75 at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum IN Fort Wayne. "We still feel very good we are going to be hosting an All-Star Game sometime in near future".

The exhibition-which will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis-will be the first NBA All-Star Game held in IN since it was played at the Hoosier Dome in 1985.

Leading up to the 2021 edition, the 2018 All-Star Game will take place in Los Angeles. Reports say Chicago will host All-Star Weekend 2020.

It appears as though IN is going to be hosting the 2021 NBA All-Star game, and it looks like it could be a great week to look forward to.
