Atiku meets Makarfi at PDP secretariat

The National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is now experiencing a sort of carnival as former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar made an appearance on visit to the national leadership of the party.

"PDP is the only party in this country".

In a statement issued by Mr. Dayo Adeyeye, National Publicity Secretary of its National Caretaker Committee, the party described the return of Abubakar as "welcome development".

The shout of "Baba Oyoyo" rented the as the former Vice President was driven in a bullet-proof Mercedes Benz S-Class with registration number Lagos EX 449 SMK.

"I believe I have worked hard to bring about the ruling party as a young man, but if the impunity does not stop, I will be left with no option".

Frank was previous year suspended as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC over alleged attacks on the party national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and other alleged anti-party activities.

"I want to pay tribute to those who have stayed steadfast through thick and thin to see us through to this point". The kind of arrogance going on in the party led some of us out of PDP in those days, but we have now realized that it is even worse in the APC.

Comrade Timi Frank, has declared that more high-level defections from the APC could occur in the near future, if the party leadership failed to mend its ways.

"To achieve all these, there must be sacrifices, understanding and compromises in the process, and that is what I speak to members to imbibe".

He urged him to continue to contribute in reinventing and remodeling of the party so that it could reclaim Aso Rock in 2019. We are targeting the local governments.

"So, PDP must be prepared for this, and be ready to reconcile and reiterate in such a way and manner that everybody will be treated and given a level playing field to pursue his or her personal aspiration". What we want are people who can help us win elections and Atiku is one of them. "That is what PDP must stand for if it has to survive".

Abuja Political Correspondent, Alhassan Bala reports that the party Caretaker Chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi said the party is expecting more returnees and new comers.
