WhatsApp iOS 11 message warns to not shut app

If you're affected by this issue, the best fix appears to be disabling notifications from any apps that use the local settings (turning all notifications off also works). The issue was reported in many countries.

A support document has been released, alongside iOS 11.2 update outlining steps to be taken to fix the issue.

Send, request and receive money from friends and family with Apple Pay in Messages or by asking Siri. Apple Pay Cash feature is limited to the USA consumers only as the service is only available in the United States. Head over to the Settings app, then hit General, then Software Update.

Apple has since moved to make amends for the problem and have provided handset owners with a new software update.

The iOS 11.2 had been released to fix the problem.

Repeat for all the apps you want to disable. A problem with iOS 11.1.2 means that repeated crashed have been triggered by notifications from 12.15 this morning.

Another notable iOS 11.2 tweak, however small, is that the lock screen now includes a horizontal line on the right side of the notch.

Apple hasn't yet published a list of security updates for iOS 11.2.

iOS 11 is by far the most advanced iOS update released by the giant Apple.

There's a bug in iOS versions prior to 11.2 that causes apps with local notifications to crash your iPhone or iPad once your date is set to December 2nd (or later).

In the Podcasts app, you can now swipe up while playing an episode to see a sleep timer, episode description, chapters, episode notes, and Up Next.

This has been a bad week for Apple's Quality Assurance team.

Apart from this, the update fixes all the bugs and other minor issues on the phone. Earlier this week, users discovered a bug in the latest Mac operating system that let anyone log into a password-protected computer with the username "root."
