It was the first win for Penn State at Iowa City since 2001 and the Nittany Lions' first road victory in a conference opener since 2010-11.

The Nittany Lions' second straight 10-win regular season earned them a second straight berth in a prestigious New Year's Six game. That game was played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. December 30 and will air on ESPN.
