In terms of specs, the clear-cut victor here is the Redmi 5A which comes boasting of a spec sheet that embarrasses not just the Nokia 2, but also the Bharat 5 with the hardware it brings to the battle. Let us now check out what the spec sheet of the new Bharat 5 looks like. Recently Micromax launched the Micromax Bharat 3 and Micromax Bharat 4 smartphone. The Bharat 5 was launched in India at Rs 5,555 and delivers the typical entry-level smartphone specifications save for that massive 5,000 mAh battery.

The Micromax Bharat 5 is priced at Rs. 5,555.

- The company has sold 3 million Bharat phones so far and plans to sell around 6 million by March-end with the help of the Bharat 5.

The smartphone will be available for sale from December 7 exclusively on Flipkart and Mi Official website.

Despite competitive hardware, it's tough to topple the Rs 4,999 priced Redmi 5A from Xiaomi. The smartphone has a pair of 5-megapixel cameras and features LED flash modules along with a 5.2-inch HD display. Compared to its competition - Nokia 2 and Bharat 5 which come with 1GB RAM paired with Snapdragon 212 or a 1.3GHz quad-core processor - the Redmi 5A comes with the highly efficient 425 SoC paired with 2/3GB of RAM.

With 5.2 inch full HD view, one can get an immersive viewing experience like never-before. The Bharat 5 is its most premium budget phone yet, and the company will compete against the Redmi 5A for the entry-level segment. It has 16 GB storage with an option to expand storage up to 64GB.

Running Android Nougat with MIUI 9 on top, the Redmi 5A comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture along with a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is again a 5MP selfie camera also with flash for good looking selfies.

Besides adding the number 5 in the name, Micromax has smartly chosen the features to align with its marketing strategy. The battery of the phone is also the biggest highlight of the Bharat 5 smartphone.
