Hearthstone's Kobolds and Catacombs Expansion Out Next Week

For a while Hearthstone saw two different types of updates, one was a much larger card-focused expansion, others were smaller narrative-focused events. In addition to that, players can also pre-purchase 50 packs for the low low price (sarcasm) of $49.99. With each victory players will add additional cards to their deck. Coming with the launch of Kobolds & Catacombs, Dungeon Runs will send Hearthstone players on challenging, high-stakes subterranean adventures inspired by the classic fantasy dungeon crawl.

Users that log into the Hearthstone client after release will receive a random Legendary Weapon card as well as three Kobolds & Catacombs packs.

The good news is that Blizzard is giving away a few free packs and cards.

"For that reason, putting together three full releases with mission content is a big part of how we see the game going forwards". Players start with a basic, premade deck and will then encounter a series of bosses. Heroes should plunder with caution, however, because losing a single battle will spell the end of their Dungeon Run.

We're on the eve of another Hearthstone expansion, with Kobolds & Catacombs banging on the dungeon door to be let in on December 7 with a batch of new cards and a brand new mode. Starting November 6, this pre-purchase offer will also be available in-app for iOS and Android players for 49.99 United States dollars, and will reflect local pricing in Canada for 69.99 CAD.
