Warriors vs. Thunder, Wednesday night

Warriors vs. Thunder, Wednesday night

The Thunder jumped on the Warriors from the outset and never relinquished control. Durant clapped as he walked away, knowing he got under Westbrook's skin. The only friend I have is the basketball.

Curry had a team-high 24 points, and Durant added in 21 points.

The Thunder left their starters longer than the Warriors to ensure they would get the win and avoid a disastrous loss, which allowed Westbrook to go hunting for his triple-double.

"We've got to be better in that area ... especially this team playing in this building and especially playing against us".

Mark Medina (Mercury News) on KD feeling more at peace on this trip to Oklahoma: "But while the Thunder has changed its team identity since Durant last faced them in Oklahoma City, Durant believes he has changed his personal identity". I thought they completely out-played us, out-coached us.

The Golden State Warriors were on the seven-game winning run before suffering a defeat to the Celtics in Boston, but they managed to bounce back with two victories over the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets. It was a particularly ironic response given that, earlier in that same media scrum, Durant emphasized how one of his goals last night was to "not let emotion seep in" to his performance on the court. I've been that way since day one and that's what I do. It was a game that yielded more than its share of tense moments, including a nose-to-nose standoff between the two former teammates.

However, all the talk after the game was about his confrontation with Russ in the above video and, to no one's surprise, Durant tried to downplay the severity of the exchange. The home crowd gave the Thunder a standing ovation as they walked off the floor.

In a game that the Thunder controlled from the start, tensions initially started to bubble up in the second quarter after a turnover on a pass intended for Durant. It's not about who's in each other's faces. I learned how to tune out the bulls- and just play. That stuff is not real. "It's the same atmosphere that they've always had, so we wouldn't expect anything different". All the fans, they lying to you all. Adams, rather than shooting, swung it to the corner (which was arguably the right basketball play). The wins have been by an average of 17.8 points.
