Mobile Black Friday 2017 Ad: Free Samsung Galaxy S8 After Trade

Samsung releases two variants of its Galaxy flagship phones. If not, the smartphone may finally receive a dual-lens rear camera, similar to Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung's next-generation Exynos chipset, the Exynos 9 Series 9810, is one of 36 Samsung products that received CES 2018 Innovation Awards. The Galaxy S9 will nearly certainly land in the first half of next year, April at the latest, and according to a rumor that just surfaced, the Galaxy S9 Mini might actually become a thing next year, and sport a 4-inch display.

Samsung is likely to add a dual camera system to better compete with the iPhone X and the myriad of other Android phones that have them as well, including Samsung's own Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy S9 Mini is rumored to join the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus next year, though according to a "foreign news report", the phone's name could change before the company announces it next year. "The small 0.9μm pixel size enables a 24Mp image sensor to be fitted in a thinner camera module, allowing premium smartphones to offer high resolution cameras in a very slim and elegant design". Now, for the first time, a set of images supposedly show the Galaxy S9's updated design.

But we expect to see plenty more rumors over the coming weeks and months, so we should soon have a clearer idea of what to expect from Samsung's next flagships.

The story is the same for those using Samsung Galaxy J3 V 2016, which carries model number SM-J320V. And unlike the iPhone, Samsung lets you adjust the level of background blur after the photo has been taken. The unlocked version of the S8 retails for $725, while its bigger brother will set you back $825 - the same as on Samsung's website. A public release is expected either by the end of this year, or early January 2018.
