Chance of rain on Tuesday

MONDAY: Early rain, then mostly cloudy skies.

The weather pattern overall is cold and it does appear that we will have several chances for precipitation between now and the end of the month.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny and cool. We clear out by Sunday with highs still below normal hitting the low 40s.

A weak boundary passing through the region makes skies partly cloudy on Thursday and it is seasonable in the upper 50s and low 60s. Highs will be in the upper 50s.

Last Saturday morning, a number of areas saw record low temperatures with 19 degrees in Stamford and Oxford; 20 in Danbury; 21 at White Plains airport, near Greenwich; 22 in Bridgeport and New Haven.

Monday and Tuesday of next week will be back in the mid 70s for afternoon highs.

An upper level low pressure system is overhead tomorrow, with the storm at sea, this will result in mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature again in the lower 40s.
