But even with all that in place, it's hard for guests to know to look for a tiny hole in a smoke alarm.

Derek Starnes, who was visiting form IN, was IN the home one night when he saw a pinhole IN the smoke detector. He determined the camera was recording to an SD card and called the cops.

Natt reportedly told investigators that he turned off the camera when guests stayed there and only used it for private sex parties with people who knew they were being recorded, but authorities are skeptical.

"They're also wifi capable so they'd beam a signal - he didn't have to hardwire them in", said Bourque.

"If people are consenting to recording sexual activity, why is it hidden in a smoke alarm?" said Bourque. He claimed he was a swinger and had recorded dozens of videos of sexual activity on the property, but with the subjects' knowledge. "And his answer was - for a better angle", said Lt. Bourque.

Airbnb said in a statement that it was "outraged" over the reports and have banned Natt from the site.

"Our team has reached out to local law enforcement to aid them with their investigation of this egregious offense and we hope justice is served", Airbnb spokesman Benjamin Breit said in a statement. We take privacy issues extremely seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy against this behavior.
