Iran has 'all options on table' if United States blacklists Revolutionary Guards

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday any party that walks away from the multilateral 2015 nuclear agreement would be damaging its own reputation, adding the U.S.is angry with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) because it has "humiliated" Daesh. The U.S. government has sanctioned individuals and entities with ties to the Guard in the past, including a special forces unit in 2007.

But on Monday Bahram Qasemi, a spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry, hit back, saying he was hopeful the United States would not make such a "strategic mistake".

Ali Akbar Velayati, a top Iranian offical, appeared to suggest military options were being considered. Jafari says the U.S. would have to move its military bases in the region outside the 1,250-mile range of the Revolutionary Guards' missiles.

"Diplomatic language is different to the language of defence forces but the content and the objective is the same", Jafari said.

Iranian authorities, who have said Tehran would not be the first to violate the accord, are publicly debating how they will respond if the Trump administration designates the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization. "Of course some measures have been planned which we will announce in due time", he added.

It is widely expected that Trump will not recertify Iran, saying it is no longer in the United States national interest, giving Congress 60 days to decide whether to reimpose sanctions.

Top lawmakers and insiders who spoke to the Free Beacon about the growing uncertainty over how best to hold Iran accountable for its terror activities expressed frustration over what they view as the administration's inability to follow through with its foreign policy promises, particularly as they relate to Iran, which has increasingly targeted USA forces with military action.

According to the spokesman, the United States shouldn't pressure Iran while negotiating regional issues. Apparently, the Trump government does not understand anything but insults and needs shocks to realise the new concept of power in today's world.

The measures by US President Donald Trump will fuel the disarray within the country, Rouhani said, adding that if Washington decides to withdraw from the nuclear deal, it will become more apparent to the (US) people that it is a big loss for them. "It's time America be taught new lessons".
