Rahul Gandhi more interested in visiting Italy than Amethi: Yogi Adityanath

"You sought an account of our past three years but people of Amethi are taking account of works done here by your past three generations", Amit Shah said as reported by the Indian Express.

"The people of Gujarat know about the development of their state..."

News portal The Wire reported that a firm owned by Shah's son Jay Amit Shah saw a huge rise in turnover after the BJP came to power in 2014. She said that Amethi has been a bastion of Nehru-Gandhi family, but still it continues to remain backward.

So at last, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is ready to take over the reins of the 132-year-old Congress next month. I have never seen. You see women in the Congress all the time. Rahul is spearheading the Congress party's electoral campaign in Gujarat and this was the second day of his "Navsarjan Yatra". "I want to ask "Shahzade" of Congress as to what your three generations have given to Amethi", he said.

Rahul Gandhi's latest trip comes right after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on Sunday to his hometown Vadnagar where he made several promises and launched the "Intensified Mission Indradhanush" scheme which aims to speed up the full immunisation coverage and concentrate more on urban areas and other regions of low immunisation coverage.

She said people in Amethi have more expectations from her than from their elected representative Rahul Gandhi.

Unveiling a host of government projects, Shah asserted that UP was becoming a developed state under the Modi government at the Centre and the Yogi government in the state.

"Why was the VIP zone of the Nehru-Gandhi family deprived of development?" Chief minister Yogi Adityanath and state party chief Mahendra Nath Pandey were present on the occasion. "It is the closest PM can go to the public", said a senior BJP leader from Gujarat. The Congress leader from Sitapur block led by Jang Bahadur Singh joined the BJP. Even during 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Congress got 33.5 per cent of the vote, a down from 38.9 that it got in the Assembly election of 2012.

Pro-poor policies and a viable caste combination are sure shots for winning elections, as has been proved by the Modi-led BJP. Sharma alleged that the two properties that were put as collateral security by Jay are properties of Amit Shah and his friend Yashpal Chudasma, a co-accused with Amit Shah in a fake encounter case. "You see women in Congress but none in RSS", Gandhi said.
