Colin Kaepernick to stand for national anthem upon NFL return

Colin Kaepernick to stand for national anthem upon NFL return

But Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported on Sunday morning that Kaepernick has in fact been training to make a comeback and that his representation is speaking with teams around the league.

"Kaepernick promising to stand IF he gets a job shows that for these whiny entitled athletes, it's not about the "cause" it's about money", tweeted Fox News host Tomi Lahren. When asked if Kaepernick would kneel in protest if a team signed him, La Canfora said, "He's not planning on kneeling".

La Canfora described Kaepernick's daily workout, saying Kaepernick wakes up at 4 a.m.in New York City, gets a ride to New Jersey and does a multihour workout that includes more than 100 passes. The reporter replied, "He's not planning on kneeling".

It turns out that La Canfora had never spoken to Kaepernick directly about his thoughts on standing or kneeling during the anthem.

"Wanted to clarify one thing regarding @Kaepernick7".

His girlfriend, Nessa Diab, also wrote on Twitter that "reports that Colin will stand for the anthem are completely false!". Kaepernick's agent has reportedly been reaching out to all 32 teams to note his availability.

So, for those keeping score at home, Kaepernick the anthem kneeler is a traitorous, ungrateful millionaire, whereas a standing Kaepernick would be an entitled and greedy phony. However, I cant say if they are true or not.

"Colin would have to address any future demonstrations", La Canfora tweeted. I didn't ask him if he would sit or stand. "Our chat primarily about his will to play".

The report originated on CBS.

Kaepernick's protest against racial prejudice ignited a national debate fanned by President Donald Trump, who said last month that NFL owners should fire any player protesting by kneeling during the anthem.
