Forza Motorsport 7: Developer U-Turns on Controversial VIP Membership Change

They're working to restore the VIP rewards so that they work exactly as they did in Forza Motorsport 6 with a 2x credit bonus after every race.

Not addressed in the letter was a response to the criticism of the game's homologation and Collection Tier systems. As a bonus, Turn 10 is throwing in some extra cars and credits as an apology as well. Further increasing your vehicle tier by continuing to expand your garage still has benefits though, including increased rewards every time you level up. The career mode forces you to buy as many vehicles as you can because you need to participate in as many races as possible to unlock the next championship series. No longer can you tune your vehicle up the nines before turning up to the starting grid and obliterating the competition. You can't take a Vauxhall Corsa VXR, for example, place a bigger engine in it, get it up to S class and then take on a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. It's a move that makes sense, but I still hope that the option to create races based on vehicle class is added in the future for those of us who like to mix the action up.

Forza Motorsport 7 rolled out earlier this week, and it's quite good. Most of the dissatisfaction from the Forza community and reviewers, aside from the notion that this was now a microtransaction setup for loot boxes, was from the way this was communicated.

Tracks Come Alive -Master 30 racing environments with over 200 ribbons in Forza's largest track list ever. With you at the centre, the journey to win the Forza Drivers Cup is one that is tense and exhilarating every step of the way. As with Forza Horizon, which trod this very path at this time previous year, Forza Motorsport 5 and all of its downloadable content have been removed from the Xbox Games Store.

Because everything in Forza games is bought with credits, you always had a clear progression path towards getting your favourite cars.
