Joe Walsh Slams President Over DACA Deal With Democrats

Trump insisted Thursday that he would only make a deal in exchange for "extreme security, if we get not only surveillance but everything that goes along with surveillance".

And then there's Trump's suggestion that any deal on immigration (i.e. DACA) must come with "an understanding" that funding for a border wall would be worked towards at a later date. "We don't have control of our borders", he said. We're working on a plan for DACA.

He added: "If we don't have the wall, we are doing nothing".

"Yet the judge said he was hopeful this could be meted out in the executive branches of government and not in his courtroom, citing Trump's Thursday morning tweet - after informing the court, "I do follow the President" on Twitter". Chuck Schumer of NY and Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the top Democrats on Capitol Hill.

None of this makes even the tiniest bit of sense, but I will try mightily to make some of it nonetheless.

Pelosi and Schumer said the same Thursday morning.

Pelosi and Schumer responded, saying in another joint statement that the president's tweets "are not inconsistent with the agreement reached last night".

Middlehof encourages her students to focus on their education and reaching their goals after high school, but understands how hard that can be when they are anxious about the possibility of deportation.

Even more welcome is that such a deal will not include a border wall.

The White House was initially vague about Wednesday night's meeting, calling it a "constructive working dinner", Goldman reports. It was, after all, part of the last attempt at comprehensive immigration reform that we and much of the nation backed in 2013.

And soon after, Trump appeared to confirm that approach.

Likewise, he assured the border wall is under construction, writing: "The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built".

"President Trump's decision to end DACA is a manufactured crisis in response to an artificial deadline from anti-immigrant leaders", said Lorella Praeli, the American Civil Liberties Union's director of immigration policy and campaigns. Schumer's staff replied that whatever Trump's future plans for a wall, he had at least agreed to stand down for this deal.

Ryan, meanwhile, was adamant after speaking with Trump and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly that no agreement had been reached.

Meanwhile, talk of a deal could put hardliners like Barletta in the hard position of deciding whether to support a deal struck by a president who won his state, even if it incurs the wrath of conservatives opposed to any compromise over young illegal immigrants.

Who would take all these jobs right after all DACA recipients are deported? "The president was talking with Democratic leaders to get their perspectives", he told reporters on Capitol Hill.

That suggestion is a departure from Trump's comments just hours before, when he talked to reporters before traveling to Florida on Thursday morning.

The Trump administration announced last week it was ending the Obama-era program, which offered a temporary reprieve from deportation to certain young immigrations brought to the US illegally as children.

The President has given Congress six months to come up with a solution.

"They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own - brought in by parents at young age", he wrote. "We need to stop illegal immigration before having a conversation about DACA".

"We know that many, many of them have not stepped forward. Why?"

Iowa congressman and racist imbecile Steve King, possibly through sobs so heavy they briefly threatened to overpower him, mournfully declared the president's credibility to be in shambles and his base "blown up, destroyed, irreparable, and disillusioned beyond fix".
