Antonio Conte: N'Golo Kante confirming why he's the best

N'GOLO KANTE is dreaming of an even better partnership with Danny Drinkwater at Chelsea than the duo's tittle-winning heroics at Leicester.

Kante made the decision to postpone his entry into Europe's elite club competition by moving from Leicester City to Chelsea in the summer of 2016, and after the match the France worldwide said the experience had been worth the wait.

"I think in football, when one game passes, we need to forget [it] to keep improving", he told The Independent in the same week that he made his debut in the Champions League. It was something that I used to watch when I was young and to play now with Chelsea here at Stamford Bridge is special, ' said Kante.

The west London side were 6-0 winners over Qarabag in their Champions League opener at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night as they got their European campaign off to a flying start in front of their home fans. I was sure to join this good club. We did well last season and now we have to play in the Champions League.

N'Golo Kante insists he does not feel like the best player in the Premier League, despite earning glowing praise from head coach Antonio Conte as a result of his performances for Chelsea this season. I don't really care about it when I am on the pitch. "We need everyone, especially after our time together in Leicester", the tire-less Frenchman commented.

'I am happy for this because we are working a lot with him.

'N'Golo is very important for us - a top player, ' Conte said. Let's hope that he continues to develop alongside Kante at the heart of Chelsea's midfield. "We will fight to do well in all the competitions".

"I think we were close to winning but the red card [for Victor Moses in the FA Cup] was more hard for us, they scored, and after we lost on penalties [in the shield], but in the game we were good, we were close to winning, and was the next game against them", Kante added.

"I am happy that he chose to join Chelsea and I am happy to play with him again".
