Dartmouth Medical Center 'Shooting'

No details about the person were released by Lebanon police, who said the person was apprehended about 2:27 p.m.

There are some reports on Twitter that one person has been shot.

An unofficial source inside the hospital confirmed that there was an active shooting alert issued, but no confirmation as yet as to what the actual situation is.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon is now locked down following reports of an active shooter in the hospital.

The Lebanon Police Department in cooperation with mutual aid agencies is investigating a serious incident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

The city of Lebanon wrote on its website that someone was taken into police custody before 3 p.m. Tuesday after reports of an active shooter at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

WCAX-TV reports an employee said all workers received an email from the hospital about a 'code silver, ' telling them to get out if possible and otherwise to shelter in place.

Heavily-armed police forces are on the scene at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

No further information was immediately available.

The incident occurred at 1.27pm when an "active shooter" call was placed to authorities, according to local reports.
