'Destiny 2' Expansion Details Confirmed By Microsoft Store

As we look forward to end-game content, the Microsoft Store has officially revealed the listing for Destiny 2's first expansion, which will be called Curse of Osiris.

But it will be exciting to find out where that story leads, so expect more official details on Destiny 2's Curse of Osiris expansion in the months to come. "Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuilt the tites between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student-Ikora Rey".

The listing, "Curse of Osiris", details a new Patrol Zone, Mercury, Hell yes, as well as new story missions, new weapons and armour, new co-op activities, and new competitive multiplayer arenas.

Hopefully, by the time that Curse of Osiris lands in December, most Destiny 2 players will already have access to their own Sparrow, as it would be tough to explore Mercury on foot.

PC players will have less time to acquire the hoverbike before Curse of Osiris is released though, as Destiny 2 for PC will not be released until October 24. "It's real", said Eric Osborne, marketing director at the studio, on Twitter today. The game somewhat sputtered out of the gate with a lackluster campaign and didn't really hit a solid stride until the release of the third DLC, The Taken King.

On Wednesday, September 13, the very first Destiny 2 Raid will be open for business. The Xbox Store listing notes that Curse of Osiris will only be available as part of that season pass, so if you want to play it, you'll need to plop down $34.99 - a price that promises a second expansion in spring 2018.
