Elon Musk and Amber Heard overcome distance to be together in Australia

Before that, Tesla would have to have the funds necessary to ramp it up, and recent reports reveal that Tesla Inc.is looking to raise about $1.5 billion through stock junk bonds.

Tesla announced the bond sale earlier this week, though CEO Elon Musk made it known last week that the company was considering using debt markets to raise cash to bring its mass market Model 3 electric auto to market.

Considering the hype for Tesla Motors' Model 3, the company is being pressured to deliver with the fastest production possible.

The tactics worked, as noteholders are proving willing to overlook the company's negative cash flow and its repeated trips to capital markets to bolster its balance sheet.

Originally, it was thought the only change to Autopilot hardware for the new Model 3 was the addition of a driver-facing camera.

Roughly three days after Us Weekly reported that their relationship was over, Musk "broke his silence" in the comments section of an Instagram photo of Heard posing with a fork in her hair like the Little Mermaid.

Given that this is the first time Tesla is going to the debt markets with a straight bond offering, there is no real precedent with which to assess market appetite. That represents a massive increase over Tesla's current production rate-and it may aggravate tensions with workers, according to the The Daily Beast. The five members of the Italian Tesla Owners Club took turns driving the auto one-by-one.

Tesla's entry level auto offers its customers a choice of two battery capacities to choose from.

That made it all the more surprising that Tesla would be able to raise more money than expected and at such a reasonable yield for a company with a risky balance sheet.

In a statement to investors, Tesla said: "The notes will be senior unsecured debt obligations of Tesla".

Tesla is counting on the Model 3, its least pricey vehicle, to become a profitable, high-volume manufacturer of electric cars. They've been impressed with the number of buyers backing the Model 3, and expect positive long-term outcomes from the SolarCity merger and the energy storage market served by Tesla's lithium-ion batteries.
