Stephen Colbert to Interview Scaramucci Next Week

Again, if you want to see the Scaramucci interview with Colbert, it airs Monday, August 14, at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.

The former incoming White House communications director has teed up a few "please-accept-me-in-the-public-sphere" interviews in an effort to bounce back after being unceremoniously fired before he even technically started his job.

The TV appearances will be the first for Scaramucci since his stint in the White House came to an abrupt end just 10 days into the job.

"This is just a heads up for our censors to get ready!" he tweeted. Kelly subsequently played a role in Scaramucci's premature departure.

Scaramucci was replaced nearly immediately by former Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

Remember also that Colbert is one of President Trump's vicious critics on television.

The former Wall Street financier was sacked days after launching an expletive-laden attack against senior White House staff.

"The Mooch!" Colbert said.
