Taylor Swift's Allegations Cost Me Everything: DJ David Mueller

Kuta said she remembered the 2013 concert where Mueller met Swift; she'd written lyrics down her arm and dressed as a star, a play on the title of one of Swift's songs, "Starlight". It was during that photograph that Taylor said something much more sinister took place.

During Mueller's testimony, Swift listened with her chin resting in her hand.

A report from People explains the goings-on of the trial, during which Swift's mother could be seen getting emotional and tearing up over details of the case.

Mueller has denied the allegation since it was originally made four years ago, and his lawyers described the accusation as "nonsense".

Her lawyers have called the photo "damning" proof that Mueller groped her. They tracked them down, escorted them out of the facility and called Mueller's station.

Mueller was sacked days after the incident. Mueller was dismissed after being accused of grabbing the buttocks of the singer before a 2013 Denver concert.

Swift, who is countersuing Mueller, wants damages in an amount to be proven at trial, but also a verdict that holds Mueller responsible for the alleged assault. Taylor, dressed in a white top and black jacket, sat at a table with her mother, Andrea Swift, and her attorney.

In his initial court filing, Mueller claimed he was approached by Swift's security team after the incident.

As the trial continues to move forward-it was scheduled to last nine days and is expected to conclude on August 24-here's a rundown of everything that's gone on so far.

Mueller, 55, who was sacked from his United States $150,000-a-year job (more than Rs 98 lakhs) at radio station KYGO-FM over Swift's accusations, insisted that the case he brought against Swift was about more than just the loss of his livelihood and money.

Under questioning by his attorney, Mueller said he may have touched Swift's "rib cage, or rib, or ribs".

In July, the court sanctioned Mueller for destroying important evidence. Mueller and his legal team tried to pose the wrecked electronics as an accident (coffee spill!), but U.S. District Judge William Martinez found the actions suspicious enough to warrant the sanction.

Mr Baldridge did get Mueller to concede that various supervisors with KYGO and its parent firm had discussed the possibility of letting him go even before the encounter with Swift. Baldridge asked the jurors.

"This was an assault and Ms Swift reported that it happened".

Swift has said Mueller slipped his hand under her dress and grabbed her bare bottom as they posed.

"Resolution of this Counterclaim will demonstrate that Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and wrongful conduct targeted against Ms".

The singer, who appeared in court on Tuesday, is seeking just $1 in her counter suit against the DJ, as she aims instead for respect with the symbolic move, rather than monetary compensation. The 27-year-old has made the move to send a message that she believes what he did was assault.
