For Honor - Free to play this weekend on all platforms 08.08.17

Starting this Thursday, August 10, anyone can download For Honor on PS4, Xbox One or PC and get stuck right in to some good old fashion hacking and slashing.

Ubisoft noted that the game will be heavily discounted during this time, should players get enamoured with the trial and want to continue playing this genre-blending mix of fighting game and brawler. Given the multiplayer focus, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold will be required to play. For Honor's standard and Gold editions will be on sale during the trial.

Ubisoft has made the announcement shortly after they announced the third season of For Honor, which is due to release on August 15. Expect full access to the game during this time at no cost whatsoever. From August 10-20, all versions of the game will be 50% off on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. Free! This is the full game, mind you - the whole kit and caboodle.

After the game's player count on Steam fell to record lows within months of launch - although denied by Ubisoft - the publisher is now offering gamers a chance to try out the game on both consoles and PC. It is therefore unsurprising that the new season will carry huge updates into the game, including new maps and new heroes.
